PYM Kitchen Disneyland Paris Review: Is It Worth It?

Is PYM Kitchen at Disneyland Paris worth the money? This was a big question we had before we visited again this summer. We’d first visited PYM Kitchen as soon as it opened in 2022 and really enjoyed the experience, but since then we’d read some mixed reviews. We booked lunch here during our most recent family visit to Disney Adventure World in September 2026 and (spoiler alert!) it was so much better than we expected!

So what had we read in other PYM Kitchen reviews? Well, although everyone seemed to love the clever Ant-Man theming and unusually sized food, there were plenty of complaints about the quality and value of the buffet. So when we booked our table this time, we did so with slightly lowered expectations. But honestly? We really enjoyed it!

The service was fast, the theming was fun, and the food was much better quality than we were expecting. In fact, some dishes were straight-up stand-out! There was a good mixture of playful novelty food and classic French dishes, but the desserts were easily the highlight.

I’m still thinking about the enormous Oreo cake filled with cream cheese frosting. It looked just like an Oreo, but you ate it by the slice, and Little Explorer took one bite and then immediately started raving about it….so we all gave it a try! I wanted a second slice but, tragically, had reached the point where eating anything else would have required the assistance of an actual PYM Particle! Stuffed doesn’t even begin….

Here’s our complete and honest PYM Kitchen Disneyland Paris review, including the current prices, what we ate (with photos), and whether we think it offers good value for families.

PYM Kitchen: The Quick Verdict

We thought PYM Kitchen was one of the most enjoyable buffet restaurants we’ve tried at Disneyland Paris, and given the quality and variety of food available, it was good value for money. (but it wasn’t cheap!)

What Is PYM Kitchen?

PYM Kitchen is an all-you-can-eat buffet restaurant located inside Marvel Avengers Campus at Disney Adventure World. It’s also the only buffet restaurant in Disney Adventure World, so if you’re looking for a buffet-style experience, this is the best choice. If you’d prefer a table service restaurant, there are other great options in this park.

The restaurant is inspired by Ant-Man and The Wasp and the PYM Particles used to shrink or enlarge objects in the films. At first I wondered why they hadn’t chosen a bigger/more popular Marvel film, but actually it’s a great concept, and one that works so well visually with the food that is either smaller or larger than you’d expect.

The official story is that Hank Pym’s former laboratory has been transformed into a food-science research centre. Scientists are experimenting with growing and shrinking food to tackle shortages and food waste, and visiting “recruits” (that’s us!) are invited to test the results.

So what does this mean in real terms? It means you’ll encounter familiar foods presented in unusual sizes. For example, mini slider burgers are served alongside an enormous burger you can take a slice of. Salads are served with giant croutons. And all the desserts have been either shrunk or oversized too because they’ve been “exposed to PYM Particles.”

It is a clever concept because the theme doesn’t stop with the decoration. It means that the theming also carries through all the way to the food itself.

Where Is PYM Kitchen In Disneyland Paris?

You’ll find PYM Kitchen inside the Marvel Avengers Campus of Disney Adventure World. That means you’ll need a valid admission to Disney Adventure World to eat here. There are some Disney restaurants outside the park (in the Disney Village and in the hotels) you can visit if you don’t have a ticket, but you can’t access this particular restaurant directly from Disney Village or Disneyland Park without entering the second theme park, and that means having a ticket.

The restaurant is easy to spot once you’re inside Avengers Campus. As you enter the campus it’s on the left hand side, directly opposite the Spiderman W.E.B Adventure right. If you hit the toilets you’ve gone too far as these are just behind the restaurant!

The good news is that you can get to the Avengers Campus from anywhere in the Disney Adventure Park with ease. We incorporated our meal into a morning exploring World of Frozen and Avengers Campus then we moved across to Disneyland Park during the afternoon.

Do You Need to Book PYM Kitchen in Advance?

I strongly recommend reserving PYM Kitchen in advance. When you arrive at the restaurant there are two roped off queues: one is for with reservation and one is for without reservation. But there’s no guarentee you’ll get a table if you stand in the without reservation queue, or how long you’ll have to wait!

Disneyland Paris currently allows visitors to book its buffet and table-service restaurants up to two months ahead. Guests staying at a Disney Hotel may be able to make dining reservations earlier once their hotel booking is confirmed. Reservations can be made through the official Disneyland Paris app.

Our visit was part of a relatively last-minute trip and when I tried to book 4 weeks in advance, the only available reservation was at 5.45pm. I snapped this up (even though we weren’t planning to be in the Disney Adventure Park that late) and then kept checking back. Two days before our visit, there was a single 12pm reservation on the app, so I grabbed that one and cancelled the 5.45pm table.

Initially, I wondered if noon would be too early. In reality, it worked perfectly. We had already arrived before park opening, ridden several attractions and spent 70 minutes queuing for Frozen Ever After. By midday, we were ready to sit down, and we were all starving!

An early reservation also meant we entered when the restaurant was fresh, calm and fully stocked. We were actually able to see the final dishes being cooked and brought out!

How Much Does PYM Kitchen Cost?

At the time of writing (September 2026) PYM Kitchen costs:

• Adults and children aged 12 and over: €45
• Children aged 3–11: €25
• Children under three: free when sharing from an adult’s plate
  

The price includes the all-you-can-eat buffet and one soft drink or mineral water.

Because our oldest son is 13, we were charged for three adults and one child, bringing the total cost for our family of four to approximately €160. I’m not going to pretend that’s a cheap dinner: there is no denying that it’s a lot of money to spend on lunch!

But I will say that restaurant prices throughout Disneyland Paris are high. There’s no afforable eats here! And the buffet gave us a substantial meal (Mike and I didn’t want to eat again all day, we didn’t even have room for snacks!) and a much-needed hour-long rest during our park day.

We also thought the food quality, variety and experience made the price feel more reasonable than we had anticipated.

Our Experience at PYM Kitchen

We arrived for the first lunch sitting at 12pm (we actually got there around 5 minutes early) and were seated quickly by the very kind and welcoming staff. There were only 4/5 other families in the restaurant when we arrived, which meant getting to the buffet and choosing our food was quiet and easy too.

The service throughout our meal was fast and efficient. We didn’t experience any of the delays or disorganisation mentioned in some of the reviews we had read before visiting, but maybe that’s because we arived so early in the day? I can only write from my own experience!

Because PYM Kitchen is a buffet, we could begin collecting our food almost immediately after being seated. This was handy because the boys were starving! It also meant we weren’t waiting for separate courses to be prepared and delivered, so we could eat at our own pace.

The buffet was clean, attractively presented and all the food looked great: sometimes I feel like I struggle to put a plate today in a buffet, but here it was hard to narrow it down to one plate per course. I wanted to try everything! And the boys felt the same: they are both enthusiastic eaters, and they loved this restaurant! Although the playful food presentation is what you come for, the taste and quality is what makes you stay.

We had expected a fun concept with fairly average theme-park food. What we found was a buffet containing several genuinely good dishes that we would happily eat outside Disneyland Paris. Of course you do get the usual theme park nuggets and chips too, but that makes sense because they have to appeal to everybody. And that’s good news for fussy eaters too.

What Is the Food Like at PYM Kitchen?

PYM Kitchen is officially described as an American-style buffet, but the selection is broader than burgers and chips.

You will find a mixture of:

• Salads and cold starters
• Hot meat dishes
• Vegetarian choices
• Small burgers and novelty food
• Potatoes, vegetables and other accompaniments
• Child-friendly buffet options (there is a separate children’s buffet area)
• Cakes, pastries and desserts
• Oversized and miniature PYM-themed dishes
  

Apparently, the exact selection can change according to the season, so you shouldn’t assume every dish shown in our photographs will be available during your visit, but I hope it gives you a good idea of what you might find.

The Salad Bar

The salad bar was one of my favourite parts of PYM Kitchen. Buffet salad sections can sometimes feel like an afterthought, especially inside theme parks. This one had a good range of fresh ingredients and prepared salads that felt designed for adults rather than simply added to tick a box.

The standout dish for me was the Caesar salad with its enormous croutons.

The giant croutons were obviously part of the PYM Particle theme, but the salad wasn’t memorable only because it looked fun, I got two helpings because it was genuinely delicious.

I’ve eaten plenty of Caesar salads during our travels around France, and this was as good as any of them. The lettuce was fresh, the dressing had plenty of flavour and I popped just one of the huge croutons on my plate (I couldn’t resist!) and it added exactly the right amount of crunch. I actually went back for more, which I think says quite a lot when there was an entire buffet of other food waiting to be sampled.

The Hot Food

The hot buffet contained a good mixture of familiar options and more unusual dishes.

Mike’s favourite was the pulled pork croquettes. These were crisp on the outside, soft inside and packed with flavour. They were exactly the sort of buffet dish that is easy to pick up “just to try” ….and then end up eating a plate full!

The novelty items are likely to get the most attention in photograph (like the big burgers next to the little burgers above!) but the less photogenic foods tasted so much better, so trust your nose, not just your eyes!

Before this visit, we read several reviews suggesting that guests were paying primarily for the theming. That was my concern when we walked in the room, but luckily it wasn’t our experience. The food tasted good, and we all ended up with plates full that we cleared because everything was delicious.

The PYM Kitchen Desserts

The desserts were where PYM Kitchen truly shone. Honestly, I’m so glad that I checked out the dessert section first so that I could save room to give them a try! There was an excellent range of cakes and smaller sweet treats, all presented with the same oversized and miniature theme as the rest of the buffet.

The boys loved this section, and frankly, so did Mike and I. We all ate far more sugar than we should!

My absolute favourite was an enormous Oreo-style layer cake filled with cream cheese frosting.

It looked spectacular, but it also tasted every bit as good as it looked. The cake was rich without being dry, while the cream cheese frosting stopped it from becoming overwhelmingly sweet.

I loved it so much that I genuinely wanted to return for a second slice. Unfortunately, after trying the salads, hot food and other desserts, I was completely full. This remains one of my great Disneyland Paris regrets!

If you enjoy cakes and desserts, make sure you leave enough room: This was the total highlight of PYM Kitchen for me!

Does PYM Kitchen Have Characters?

Sadly not! PYM Kitchen is not a character-dining restaurant, so you won’t meet Ant-Man, The Wasp or other Marvel heroes while eating your meal. I actually think this is such a shame, because it’s such an obvious spot for a character dining experience. Having said that, if it was the prices would be much, much higher!

Marvel characters appear elsewhere around Avengers Campus, so you can see them as you’re wandering around. There is also a dedicated meeting space where you can queue or sometimes book a slot to meet scertain heroes.

For this reason I will say that you should choose PYM Kitchen for the food and theming rather than character interactions. If meeting characters while you eat is important, you will need to consider one of Disneyland Paris’s designated character-dining restaurants instead, but there isn’t a Marvel themed one right now!

What We Didn’t Like About PYM Kitchen

We had a genuinely positive experience, so there isn’t a dramatic list of complaints to share.The food was good, and the experience was great. The biggest drawback, in my opinion, is the price.

At around €160 for our family of four, this isn’t a casual or budget-friendly lunch. Our 13-year-old was charged as an adult, which significantly increased the total, but to be fair he has a typical teenage boy appetite (he eats more than I do!) so it was worth every penny for us!

Families with younger children will pay less, while those travelling with several children aged 12 or over may find the cost difficult to justify. I also don’t think PYM Kitchen will offer equal value to every family. If your children eat very little or only want a small plate of chips, paying for an all-you-can-eat buffet probably doesn’t make financial sense. With my two bottomless pits of teen and tweenagers? We were happy with the amount we spent when considering the amount they ate.

Is PYM Kitchen Worth It?

For our family, the answer to this question is yes. PYM Kitchen was absolutely worth it. It exceeded our expectations in almost every area.

The service was fast, the theming was clever, the buffet was varied and the quality was much better than some of the reviews had led us to expect. I have a real soft spot for Caesar salad, and the Caesar salad with its enormous croutons was as good as any Caesar salad I’ve eaten in France this summer. When I asked Mike what his favourite dish was he said the pulled pork croquettes very quickly, and the boys thoroughly investigated the dessert counter (for journalistic purposes, of course!) and that giant Oreo cake may now occupy a permanent place in my memory. I have a real weakness for cream cheese frosting, so I was very pleasantly surprised.

It wasn’t cheap, but we left full, and happy, and we would definitely go back again!
