The Ultimate Christmas Gift Guide For Travellers in 2025

Ho, ho, ho? I’m sorry if you’re not in the holiday spirit quite yet, but I’m one of those annoying people who likes to start my Christmas shopping early! It helps to spread the costs, build up the excitement, and frees up December for having fun instead of hitting the overcrowded shops.

I will say that we’re an ‘experiences over stuff’ kind of family (and I do have a separate gift guide packed full of trips and experiences that we’ll be gifting each other this year coming soon) which means that this gift guide contains lots of affordable gifts, and lots of practical gifts that travelling families will really appreciate. No big ticket items here: only gifts that won’t break the bank!

I asked Mike to put together this list of gifts for men who travel for me, and he didn’t surprise me at all by presenting me with a list packed full of practical, no-nonsense items that he carries with him when he travels. My husband is one pragmatic man! I added some fun items, like travel guides (we both love them) and practical but luxe cosmetics I know he’d love: these cologne bars are solid, so they don’t count towards your in-cabin liquid allowance! I’ve also added a CabinZero backpack, because he loved the boys ones so much that he asked for one of his own.

Our final category is Christmas gifts for teens who travel: a new entry for us as this will be our first Christmas with a teen! Teens can be so tricky to buy for. And the usual fidget toys and colouring books that are youngest still LOVES are definitely starting to interest our oldest less and less. I’ve tried to include a mix of practical and fun items – and I had to include that CabinZero backpack again, because I think this is the best bit of travel kit our boys have ever had! These are the travel gifts on my own teens wish list this year.

Conclusion and Further Reading

Whether you’re buying for mum or dad, kids or teens, I hope I’ve covered all the bases here. And I’ve also tried really hard to keep prices low because I didn’t want to go against our personal ethos of spending a little less on gifts, so that we have a little more to spend on travelling! If you’re still looking for ideas you can check out the Christmas gift guide for travelling kids that I put together last year.

Have you started your Christmas shopping yet? Do you have any amazing ideas for what to buy the traveller in your life? I’d love to hear all your ideas and suggestions in the comments below!
