The Donald Duck Quacky Duck! Duck City Event In Tokyo Disneyland
Once a year, Tokyo Disneyland is transformed into Quack City! Instead of being dedicated to, and celebrating, all things Mickey Mouse, the park decides to take some time to celebrate all things Donald Duck instead.

This is the fourth time that Tokyo Disneyland has transformed into Donald’s Quacky Duck City. Tokyo Disneyland events change throughout the year, but this is such a fun event that they host annually.
And we were so excited that we were able to be in Tokyo for the start of the event! You can see us above at the entrance of the World Bazaar posing with the oversized Donald monument in the centre.
Here’s everything you need to know about this event:
When Is Donald’s Quacky Duck City Event
This special Tokyo Disneyland event is running from April 8th until June 30th 2025. And this event is only taking place in Tokyo Disneyland: you won’t find this event in Tokyo DisneySea.

It’s incredibly impressive how much of a take over, and how much effort, Tokyo Disneyland goes to for what is a relatively short event. But if you’re in Tokyo between now and the end of June then I think this event is well worth visiting Tokyo Disneyland for!
What Is Donald’s Quacky Duck City Event?
The basic premise of the event is that Donald duck wants to be the king superstar of the world. So he transforms Disneyland into Duck City where he wins awards for being the best, the strongest, the sportiest, the cleverest duck in town!

This new Donald-Duck focused celebration will feature donald duck-themed decorations, limited edition Donald food, and loads of Donald Duck park-exclusive merchandise too! (I ended up getting new Donald Duck ears to celebrate the event).
The vast majority of decorations for the event are located down main street and around the castle. The focal point of the celebration is an afternoon parade with Donald Duck as the star. Disney friends join the “Quacky Ducks,” the many fans of Donald that he dreams up, and guests to celebrate Donald in a fun-filled parade. Leading the parade this time is Pete, who has become Donald’s number one friend.

This is smaller than a normal parade but it features six floats and 65 performers and is well worth taking your time out of your day for. I know a lot of people queue for hours for the parades in Tokyo Disneyland. But we arrived 15 minutes before the parade started and were seated on the third row of people: because everyone stays sat down for the parades, we got an amazing view from this spot.
Special Menus For Donald’s Quacky Duck City
One of the things that you will find all over the park is special menu items to celebrate all things Donald Duck. We ate a couple of the special items, including the Donald Duck blue jelly and mango mousse and the bubble tea-style drink.

Some of the other options we saw that looked good were the Donald Duck donut, the blue and white omelette roll (pudding and pineapple) dessert, and the special sundae.
Camp Woodchuck kitchen and the Huwie, Dewie and Lewie good time cafe both also had savoury menu options available with a duck theme.

And even if you don’t visit for the Quack City event? You have to try the mago flavoured duck bill ice cream anytime you visit the Tokyo Disney parks! This is a new permanent option in many of the ice cream cart around both parks, and it’s delicious. It tastes like the outer shell of the Solero lolly, if you’re familar with those.
You can see the full list of event menu items here.
Getting Tokyo Disneyland Tickets
There are 2 ways to get tickets for Tokyo Disneyland. You can either buy directly from the Tokyo Disneyland website OR you can buy from a 3rd party site such as Klook (aff. link). We used Klook for several reasons. The Tokyo Disneyland website wouldn’t accept our UK-based credit card, they sent the tickets straight to your phone, and the prices were exactly the same as buying direct but with less hassle.

Ticket prices vary slightly depending on how far in advance you book, and whether you book a weekend or weekday.
A 1 day entry ticket to Tokyo Disneyland on a weekday next month will cost £43.65 per adult, £36.39 for a junior aged between 12-17, £25.99 for a child aged between 4-11. Children younger than that can enter for free.
If you do choose to buy from Klook then use code THATMUMTRAVEL5KLOOK to get an extra 5% off those prices (every little helps!) The booking link is here.
AN IMPORTANT NOTE ON BOOKING TICKETS: You can only buy tickets up to 2 months in advance, so if visiting on a specific day is important to you then be prepared! Tickets for April 1 will go on sale on February 1. Tickets for May 16 will go on sale on March 16. And so on. Book the tickets you want as soon as the sale window is open to avoid disappointment, especially in peak periods.
Would you go to Tokyo Disneyland for a special event? Are you hoping to visit Tokyo Disneyland any time soon? I’d love to know what you think!
