Disneyland Paris On A Budget: The Cheapest Possible Way To Visit Disneyland Paris Right Now
As part of our summer road trip to France, we spend a day in Disneyland Paris. The kids had been nagging for a return trip, but having just got back from Mexico, a full trip to Disneyland Paris just wasn’t in our budget.
So I worked out a way to get them a trip to Disneyland Paris for as cheap as humanly possible, and now I’m going to share it with you!

Getting There
First things first, if you want to go to Disneyland Paris on a budget then you’re going to have to drive! Take your car on either the ferry or the Eurotunnel (we prefer the convenience of the tunnel).
With the tunnel, the shorter the amount of time you spend in France, the cheaper your tickets will be – it’s an odd pricing model but it’s the one they use! A short stay saver departing on Saturday 19th October and returning Saturday 20th October (this is just an example, any other weekend works!) will cost just £110. (which is £27.50 each if you’re travelling as a family of four!)

You’ll have to pay tolls to use the roads in France. These cost 40 euros each way. And of course, you’ll have your petrol to add on too – the cost of this will depend on where you live in the UK, but we generally use 2 full tanks.
(We didn’t include this in our cost breakdown, because we were already visiting France, so we had already paid for our crossing).
Getting Your Disney Tickets
Officially the most expensive part of visiting Disneyland Paris is getting your park tickets. And there’s no way around having to buy these!

BUT there is a way of getting them on a budget if you want to visit Disneyland Paris for this Halloween season. We booked our park tickets with Klook. They currently have an offer for 20 euros off per person for Disneyland Paris tickets if you are booking between 4-6 tickets. So perfect for a family!
With this discount code these come in at £37.15 per person for an adult or £32.95 for a child aged 3-11 (under 3s go free). PLUS if you use my code (sorry for the promo) THATMUMTRAVEL5 you will get an extra 5% off.
That means the cost for a single day park entry for a family of 4 would be £140.20 OR £133.19 using the promo. You can find the link to these tickets here.
I’ve never seen park entry tickets for a lower price.

If you’re visiting for a 2 day trip you can double this up and spend 2 days in the parks. OR if you’re on a really tight budget, you can do what we did in August.
One day in the park, followed by a morning of swimming and exploring our hotel, then lunch and shopping in the Disney village. You can also ride the Panoramagique hot air balloon in the Disney village, and entry to the Disney hotels is free: looking at the Marvel hotel in particular is a lot of fun.
We did this instead of paying for a second day of park tickets and we didn’t really miss being in the parks at all.

Where To Stay
If you’re planning a whirlwind weekend trip on a budget then you’ll only need one night in a hotel. Don’t look for Disney hotels! They’re expensive, and not worth the extra if you’re on a budget. We prefer the Disney partner hotels if we’re just taking a flying visit.

The Campanile Val De France is a good choice. It offers a shuttle bus to the parks for free (saving you the frankly ridiculous 30 euros that disney charge you to park your car in their carpark) and is coming in at around £130 per night.
If you want to spend less there are Airbnbs available in the area for around £80. But our personal favourite (although it’s a bit more of a splurge) is the Explorers hotel. This costs £189 per night, but it has a swimming pool with a water park (and slides), a huge outdoor play area, and a 3 storey soft play all included in the price.
Breakfast is included in the room rate too.

We love this hotel because there’s so much to do here that it’s like a holiday in its own right – it’s perfect if you don’t want park tickets for day 2. After spending the morning in the pool then running off their energy in the playgrounds, the boys were happy to head to the Disney village for lunch and a wander instead.
So there you have it! The cheapest possible trip to Disneyland Paris! Proving that it is possible to take your kids to the magic, even on a tight budget. (I promise that your kids won’t care about the fancy dining, 5 star hotels, and elaborate costumes that other kids are wearing. They probably won’t even notice them. They’ll just be so glad to be there!)
