How Much Do Sanrio Puroland Tickets Cost?
Adults and children pay the same price to visit Sanrio Puroland. Ticket prices change regularly, but Klook curently have a 20% discount offer, meaning that tickets are currently just £17.09 per person.

Is Sanrio Puroland Worth It for Families?
The short answer is: Yes. But only if you or your kids love Hello Kitty and friends. I am the world’s biggest Sanrio fan (Pompom Purin is my favourite character) so having the chance to visit Puroland is such a highlight of our trips to Japan for me. The boys are less enthused, but they tolerate the experience because they love me!
Sanrio Puroland is:
- Indoors (meaning it’s a great spot in bad weather)
- Very safe and compact
- Designed for younger children to take part in all the activities alongside their families
- Full of character meet-and-greets and shows
It’s not a thrill-ride park, in fact there are only two rides in the whole park and they’re both very gentle. Instead think cute, colourful, and calm rather than high-energy.

Where Is Sanrio Puroland?
Sanrio Puroland is located in Tama, west of central Tokyo. From Tokyo Station (which was our starting point) the journey to Sanrio Puroland takes around 40 minutes, but it’s a very easy journey, as there is a direct train.
As well as being easy to reach via train, Sanrio Puroland is well signposted from the station. And the station itself is an attraction, as the whole thing is Sanrio themed, with the most beautiful faux stain glass window on the station roof.

How To Get From Tokyo to Sanrio Puroland
Sanrio Puroland is located in Tama City, on the western side of Tokyo, and is surprisingly easy to reach using public transport — even with kids in tow.
The nearest station is Tama Center Station, which is served by three different lines, making it very convenient from most parts of the city:
- Keio Line
- Odakyu Line
- Tama Monorail
Once you arrive at Tama Center, Sanrio Puroland is around a 5-minute walk and very clearly signposted (you’ll start spotting Hello Kitty decorations almost immediately when you arrive in the station and on the walk!).
From Shinjuku (most common route)
This is the route many visitors use, especially families staying centrally.
- Take the Keio Line (Keio Sagamihara Line) from Shinjuku Station
- Travel time: around 35–40 minutes
- Cost: approximately ¥400–¥450
- No transfers needed if you catch the right service
Alternatively:
- Take the Odakyu Line from Shinjuku to Odakyu Tama Center
- Journey time is similar and also very straightforward
From Shibuya
- Take the JR Yamanote Line to Shinjuku
- Transfer to the Keio Line or Odakyu Line to Tama Center
- Total travel time: around 50 minutes
From Tokyo Station
- Take the JR Chuo Line to Shinjuku
- Transfer to the Keio or Odakyu Line to Tama Center
- Total travel time: around 60 minutes

If Sanrio Puroland is on your Japan itinerary, booking tickets in advance is absolutely worth it.
