Sanrio Puroland Tickets: New Skip-the-Line Tickets Available — Are They Worth It?

Sanrio Puroland Tickets: New Skip-the-Line Tickets Available — Are They Worth It?

If you’re planning a trip to Sanrio Puroland, Tokyo’s indoor Hello Kitty theme park, then there’s a brand-new ticket option that you need to know about. Sanrio Puroland tickets are some of the cheapest theme park tickets in Tokyo, and they’re worth every penny.

It’s well documented here that I LOVE Sanrio! We’ve now visited Sanrio Puroland twice: in March, we’ll be taking our third trip (we all know third time’s a charm!) but this time we’ll be trying something new .

New Sanrio Puroland Ticket Options

When I was looking on Klook to book our own tickets for our 2026 Sanrio Puroland trip, I noticed that they’ve introduced a new Sanrio Puroland tickets: A Skip-The-Line Ticket with Puropass included.

This updated ticket now allows you to bypass the queues for the park’s two main rides (Sanrio Character Boat Ride and MyMeroad Drive) making it a huge time-saver, especially on weekends, holidays, and school breaks.

On our last trip to Sanrio Puroland, we used the skip-the-line system, but we paid on arrival using the skip-the-line ticket machines. As someone who has personally used a skip-the-line pass at Sanrio Puroland, I can confidently say: YES, it makes a massive difference. It’s so affordable, and it saved us hours of queuing: I now wouldn’t visit without it.

⭐ How Much Are The Sanrio Puroland Skip-the-Line Tickets?

The new Sanrio Puroland Skip-the-Line tickets are around £10 more expensive per ticket than the standard entry tickets

Price: £27.09

This new ticket offering includes:

  • Entry to Sanrio Puroland
  • Puropass access, which lets you skip the line for:
    • Sanrio Character Boat Ride
    • MyMeroad Drive

The main attraction of these tickets is, of course, the Puropass. When you use a Puropass for the rides, you’ll get a much more relaxed and laidback day, and you’ll save so much time standing in queues. The Sanrio Character Boat Ride had a 90 minute queue on our last visit, but with the Puropass, we only queued for around 3 minutes.

So how does this compare to the regular ticket? Here are all the details of the standard admission ticket for a point of comparision:

Price: £17.55

This gets you entry only . There’s no queue skipping involved with this pass, so if you want to go on the two rides you’ll have to stand in line OR have a strategy in place for beating the queues.

💡 So what’s my opinion? The Skip-the-line tickets are just £10 more than the standard tickets, and the time this will save you is worth every penny to me. You can whizz through the rides and then spend the rest of your day at Puroland enjoying the delicious food, meeting characters, and soaking up the atmosphere. Is it worth it? 100% yes for most families, especially on busier days.

🎀 Why the Skip-the-Line Ticket Is Such a Game Changer

Sanrio Puroland is incredibly cute, but it’s also incredibly popular. There are already skip-the-line tickets available inside the park, but you buy these from an automated machine on arrival, and they only have a certain number of tickets available per hour. Buying these in advance means you’re guaranteed to get those coveted skip-the-line tickets.

The two main rides often have queues of:

  • 45–90 minutes on weekends
  • 30–60 minutes on weekdays in peak seasons
  • Even longer during school holidays, Golden Week, Christmas, and summer

When we visited and skipped the line back in April, it genuinely saved our day. My kids are pretty good in queues, but queuing for an hour in an indoor park to ride a Hello Kitty ride because mummy wants to (when realistically, they’d rather be somewhere else?) Not ideal!

So getting a Puropass to skip the lines on those two most popular rides in advance is a pretty exciting prospect! One I think is so exciting in fact that it’s worth writing a whole piece about to share with you guys!

🕒 When You Should Definitely Get the Skip-the-Line Option At Sanrio Puroland

I’m not the only mega Sanrio fan that makes a regular pilgrimage to Sanrio Puroland. We’ve never visited the park when it isn’t packed full of visitors. And i’ve never seen the two rides without at least an hour long queue during our visits to the park.

I think you should definitely choose the skip-the-line tickets if you’re visiting during:

  • Cherry Blossom Season (late March–early April)
  • Golden Week (early May)
  • Summer holidays
  • October weekends (Halloween celebrations)
  • Winter school holidays
  • Any Saturday or Sunday

Even on weekdays, Sanrio Puroland can get busy because many school groups visit, so if the extra £10 won’t make a big impact on your travel spending money then I would take a ‘better to be safe than sorry’ approach and book it anyway.

🏰 What You’ll Still Need To Queue For At Sanrio Puroland

It’s worth noting that the Puropass isn’t some magic wand that means you’ll never have to stand in a queue again! Even with Puropass, there are some queues that you just can’t skip. These include:

  • Meet and greets with the characters
  • Food court and character cafés (eat outside of noral mealtimes to minimise these queues)
  • Photo spots
  • Special seasonal events

But the two rides are the biggest time-eaters in the park, so being given the opportunity to skip those is a huge win.

🎀 Final Verdict: Is the New Skip-the-Line Ticket Worth It?

So it’s time to answer the big question: is it worth paying an extra £10 per person (£40 if you’re a family of four like us) to buy Sanrio Puroland skip-the-line tickets.

✔ If you’re visiting on a busy day → YES

✔ If you’re going with kids → YES

✔ If time is limited → YES

For just £10 extra, you save stress, queuing, time, and potential meltdowns too. I’ve done Sanrio with and without skipping lines and trust me, I’d never go back to the old way now I’ve tried it the easy way.
