An ultimate 14 day Japan Itinerary

Top 8 Attractions In Japan You Can (And Should!) Book With Klook

We keep visiting Japan (again and again – it’s fair to say we’re obsessed) and one thing you can be sure of is that we’ll be using Klook. We’ve used Klook on every single on of our Japanese adventures to save both time and money. In fact, the first time we even heard of Klook was when our card was rejected (repeatedly!) when trying to book Tokyo Disneyland Tickets and we discovered Klook at a popular and well publicised alternative. We’ve been using it ever since.

You can book SO MANY experiences with Klook that it’s actually mind-boggling: they have other 10,000 experiences listing and counted. Some of these you can book elsewhere too, some are Klook exclusive experiences.

1. Tokyo Disneyland & DisneySea – Tokyo

We’ll start with the Tokyo Disneyland resort, because this was the very first ticket we bought with Klook: and we’ve bought those Tokyo Disney tickets again and again since. You CAN buy tickets on the Tokyo Disney Resort website BUT many foreign cards (including ours) simply aren’t accepted by their system: Klook is the perfect solution to this. Prices are the same, and QR code tickets are conveniently delivered to your phone.

The Tokyo Disneyland resort is our favourite Disneyland in the world (that we’ve visited so far) and if you’re travelling with kids or Disney-fans then I definitely recommend one day in each park. For adults, or if you only have time for one park, don’t miss Tokyo Disney Sea. It’s the only theme park like it in the world!

2. Universal Studios Japan – Osaka

Just like Tokyo Disneyland, we booked our Universal Studios Japan tickets via Klook for pure ease and convenience: the Klook website was so much easier to use than the official website!

Our 10 Tried and Tested Tips For Visiting Universal Studios Japan On A Budget

We knew we wanted to go to Universal Studios in Japan: in fact, it’s the main reason we booked our first trip! The boys had seen videos of the Super Nintendo World in the USJ park on YouTube during lockdown, and we promised them that when lockdown was over, we’d take them to see it with their own eyes. It definitely didn’t disappoint! If you’re spending any time in Osaka during your trip to Japan then please book tickets to this amazing theme park.

3. TeamLabs Planets – Tokyo

TeamLab Planets is an immersive digital art gallery that’s fun for the whole family. You can wade through water as cherry blossoms are projected on to it, walk through rooms of lights and mirrors, and then become a part of the art as you slide, swing, and play in the athletics forest.

Reflections at Teamlabs Planets

I recommend booking your TeamLabs Planets tickets with Klook because they have exclusive access to the earliest entry times (the earlier you enter, the less crowded it will be) and you can also book TeamLabs attraction combo tickets, which will save you money.

4. Warner Bros. Studios Tour Tokyo – The Making of Harry Potter – Tokyo

We all (unexpectedly!) had such a great time at the Warner Bros. Studios Tour, Making of Harry Potter. We booked this as a treat for our youngest, who is Harry Potter mad, but there was something for everyone, even the non-Harry Potter fans, and we enjoyed every minute of it.

As well as being convenient and easy to book (with tickets you can use from your phone) I recommend using Klook to book your Harry Potter Studios Tour tickets because they have a Klook exclusive offer where you get a free Harry Potter headband gift included in your ticket price – and who doesn’t love a freebie? You can choose 1 character headband valued at JPY 1,000 per person, and there are loads of characters to choose from.

5. Mount Fuji & Hakone Day Trip From Tokyo

You can’t go to Japan without seeing Mount Fuji: it’s the spiritual heart of the whole country, and such an incredible thing to see and experience. You can DIY a trip to Fuji, but it’s a lot of work (and can be pretty expensive) so I always recommend the ease and convenience of a Mount Fuji day trip from Tokyo.

Mount Fuji

We’ve had such great experiences with Klook excursions in Japan and Asia in general, which is why we always recommend booking the same trip that we did: the Mount Fuji & Hakone Day Trip from Tokyo.

6. Fushimi Inari-Taisha | Arashiyama |Kiyomizu-Dera Day Tour from Kyoto

If you’re short and time and you want to enjoy everything that Kyoto has to offer without the stress and hassle of navigating this busy city independently then I recommend booking a city tour.

It is possible to explore Kyoto independently (we can and have done this) but you won’t be able to see all of these attractions in just one day if you don’t book a tour: and this is the very best tour of Kyoto on the market!

7. Shinkansen Tickets

Riding a Shinkansen (or bullet train) is a right of passage if you’re visiting Japan. It’s an attraction in its own right, and something that my kids ask to do again and again.

There is no better way to buy your Shinkansen tickets than on Klook: and that’s the hill I’ll die on! It’s so easy and convenient. You can amend your tickets online, as well as getting them delivered straight to your phone.

8. Sanrio Puroland – Tama City

Sanio Puroland is one of my favourite places in Japan – as a die-hard, lifelong fan of Sanrio, it was a real ‘pinch me’ moment to visit the spiritual home of my favourite characters. If you love Sanrio, or just anything cute and kawaii, then this attraction is worth a visit. Soak up the atmosphere, ride the small rides, and enjoy incredible themed foods.

Klook often has discount on Sanrio Puroland tickets so I ALWAYS check there first: they’re currently running a 20% off discount for example. Shopping around is the best way to get the best deals on anything, but i’ve never found a cheaper deal for these tickets.

Why Book Japan Experiences With Klook

I’ve tried to briefly cover the benefits of booking Japan experiences with Klook in each section already, but we favour Klook because it’s so easy and convenient. I love being able to book our tickets using Apple Pay on my phone and having them all in one place – this is a big tick for me. The mobile tickets and instant confirmation also make life so much easier and when you’re booking a trip as complex as Japan can be, that ease is so important.

Klook prices are also good, especially when you take advantage of their discounts and offers. And although i’d never used them for our European adventures before, they’re one of the biggest and most trusted booking platforms in Asia. We’ve saved so much (both in terms or stress and in terms of money) by using Klook for our trips to Japan, and we wouldn’t use anyone else now!

Bonus: Tips For Using Klook in Japan

If you’ve never used Klook before, you might be wondering how easy it is to use. In most cases, it’s so simple; once you order your tickets they’ll be delivered straight to your phone, and you can show the ticket or scan the QR code on your phone to enter your chosen attraction. Some of my top tips for using Klook in Japan are:

  • Download the Klook app before you arrive in Japan. This way all your tickets will be in one place, and you can check that everything is present and correct before you fly!
  • Set your currency to your currency for easier price comparision. The site tends to default to USD but I have mine set to GBP.
  • If you’ve got a tight schedule and you want a same day/next day activity, look for attractions with a ‘instant confirmation’ badge: there are loads of these, and it’s such a handy tool!
  • Check for bundle discounts to save money! Klook often offers ‘city passes’ where you can get a certain number of attraction tickets in a single city for a reduced rate. We used the Tokyo Klook pass on our last trip to visit Sanrio Puroland, Teamlabs, and the Tokyo Tower and got a huge saving compared to buying these tickets individually.

Conclusion and Further Reading

Whether you’re visiting Japan for the first time or, like us, you’re planning another return trip to Japan, I think booking these attractions with Klook will take the stress out of booking and help you to make the most of every minute of your time in Japan.

I already have a notebook full of the Klook experiences we want to book for our next trip (as well as the dates we can book them – I’m that organised!) Start browsing now and tick of your Japan bucket list the easy way!
