If you, like us, have been checking the PokePark Kanto website daily to see when the park will finally open (and how to get PokePark Kanto tickets) then I have good news.
The world’s first Pokemon theme park will be opening in Yomiyuriland on 5th February 2026.

This is a little earlier than expected (the initial launch date was given as ‘Spring 2026’) but it’s great news for Pokemon fans (and parents of Pokemon fans, like me) who have been eagerly awaiting this news.
Want to get tickets? Or find out more? Here’s everything you need to know:
How To Get Tickets For PokePark Kanto?
The good news is that the park will be opening when we’re in Japan! (I’m actually so excited that I did a little happy dance!) The bad news? Tickets will be sold via a lottery system, so there’s no guarentee that you can actually get one. But I do understand that this is the fairest way to give everyone a chance, and to beat the scalpers.
The lottery will open at 6.00pm (JST) on Friday 21st November. You can enter the lottery via the official PokePark Kanto website (I’ve put the official link here again so you can’t miss it!) The lottery application will close on 8th December.
This first wave of ticket applications will be for people who want to visit between 5th February and 31st March 2026.

How Much Will PokePark Kanto Tickets Cost?
I haven’t had an official press release with ticket prices yet, but according to PR times, the ticket prices will be:
- 7,900 yen (and up) for a Trainer pass for those age 13 and up
- 14,000 yen (and up) for an Ace Trainer pass for those age 13 and up.
I’ll update this post when I have information about ticket prices for kids!

What Is The Difference Between a Trainer Pass and an Ace Trainer Pass?
The Ace Trainer pass is the pass we’re going to try and get! This ticket grants entry to the Pokémon Forest and Sedge Town areas at any time you desire. It also offers other perks such as special meet-and-greets, a reserved seat for the Sedge Gym Show, use of priority lanes for attractions, and original merchandise.
The cheaper option is the Trainer pass. This ticket grants a single entry to the Pokémon Forest within the specified time slot (no re-entry allowed), as well as unlimited entry to Sedge Town.
In the summer of 2026, PokePark Kanto will also be launching Town Passes. This ticket grants entry to Sedge Town. It is intended for guests who cannot enter the Pokémon Forest or only wish to visit Sedge Town.
What Is PokePark Kanto?
If you’re not already familiar, PokePark Kanto is a Pokemon-packed Trainer Area where Trainers can make unforgettable discoveries as they travel through the forest and town of the Kanto region. It isn’t a theme park in the traditional sense.
Taake a walk through different terrains including hilly paths, tall grass, tunnels, and rocky trails where you can spot over 600 Pokemon! This sounds like the perfect immersive Pokemon experience for Pokemon fans.
👉 You can read all about it in our full post announcing its launch here.
How To Find The PokePark Kanto?
The PokePark Kanto theme park will be a new unique park built inside Yomiyuriland (an existing theme park) which is just outside of Tokyo. To help you make your plans in terms of transport and accomodation, I’ve put the full address for Yomiyuriland below:
4015-1 Yanokuchi, Inagi, Tokyo 206-8566, Japan
