Visit Tokyo Joypolis: Buy One Get One Free Ticket Offer

Tokyo Joypolis is an indoor theme park owned and operated by SEGA that looks like something from the future (as we imagined it in 1990 at least!)

We’ve never actually been to Joypolis before but we plan to include it in our trip to Tokyo next month and from our extensive research (and watching endless YouTube videos) it looks epic. It includes VR attractions, game-ified indoor roller coasters, and is everything our game-loving kids are looking for in an afternoon out!

So why am I writing a post about a place we haven’t actually visited yet? Because I’m knee deep in trip planning right now, and when I went to book our tickets this morning, I noticed that they were part of Klook’s Spring Sale promotion and that tickets were currently Buy One Get One Free.

Disclaimer: I am a Klook affiliate partner and this post will contain affiliate links. But I also use Klook for buying all my own tickets, which is why I noted this deal and decided it was worth sharing with you guys!

Getting Buy One Get One Free Tickets For Tokyo Joypolis

Tickets for Tokyo Joypolis cost £22.25 per person ($28.79 for our American friends), although this price fluctuates slightly depending on the exchange rate. And right now you can get two tickets for that price thanks to the BOGOF offer.

The Transformers ride in Tokyo Joypolis

That means we got a whole day of gaming, rollercoastering, futuristic Sega fun for just £45 for my family of four.

You don’t need to insert any code to take advantage of the offer. You can just use this link to take advantage of the current Buy One Get One Free ticket promotion. And if you use the code THATMUMTRAVEL5KLOOK then this will give you an additional 5% off (and also gives me a small commission, in the spirit of transparency).

It’s worth noting that this is a ‘while stocks last’ promo, so I don’t know how long the offer will last. I guess it depends how many people rush to buy them!

I do know that if you buy tickets now they can be used up to and including 30th September this year, so if you know you want to visit this spring/summer/early autumn then now is a great time to buy your tickets.

What Is Tokyo Joypolis And Why Should You Visit

Tokyo Joypolis is Japan’s largest indoor theme park. It’s spread out over 3 floors and includes more than 20 attractions. Some of the most popular attractions at Tokyo Joypolis include:

The Half Pipe ride at Tokyo Joypolis

Gekion Live Coaster which is the indoor rollercoaster and the most famous ride in the park.

Halfpipe Tokyo: A snowboarding-inspired ride where you can perform tricks and compete for points. It really looks just like an oversized half pipe!

Sonic Athletics: This is the game we’re most excited to try! It looks like a row of running machines and is an interactive game where you can race against others in a Sonic-themed challenge.

You can find all the rides (and the wait times) on the Tokyo Joypolis website. On the subject of wait times, my research says the earlier you go the quieter it will be, so we aim to get there as the park opens.

It’s worth noting that your ticket covers your entrance and access to the rides. But the grabber machines and carnival games come at an extra charge, so bring some coins. Especially if you’re travelling with kids that can’t walk past a claw machine!

Once you enter Tokyo Joypolis you can leave and reenter the park as many times as you like throughout the day. So this is great for keeping kids entertained between shopping or museums, and means you can leave for lunch/dinner if you don’t fancy eating the fast food from their in-house snack bar.

Getting To Tokyo Joypolis

One of the most common questions about this attraction is ‘where is Tokyo Joypolis’ and how do I get there! It is located in the entertainment centre of Odaiba, which is packed full of malls and attractions. You’ll find Joypolis inside the DECKS Tokyo Beach mall, and it does offer great views of the beach and across Tokyo Bay.

On the metro there are two options for getting there. Either via the Yurikamome Line: the mall is approx. 2 mins walk away from Odaiba Kaihin Kouen Station. Alternatively if the Rinkai Line is more convenient for you then the mall is an approx. 5 mins walk from Tokyo Teleport Station

The full address for your sat nav is: Japan, 〒135-0091 Tokyo, Minato City, Daiba, 1-chōme−6−1 DECKS Tokyo Beach, 3F~5F

I’d LOVE to know if you’ve been to Tokyo Joypolis before – What did you think of it? Have I got a great bargain with my buy one get one free tickets or have I wasted my money?

  1. hi ,can I get the BOGOF ticket for my kids as well or are they just for adults?

    1. Hey! Children under 7 can go in for free (and don’t need a ticket)
For older children, we purchased adult tickets for everyone as it was much cheaper! These are approx £24 each (bogof) or child tickets for 7-17 are £21. We are a family of 4 and got 4 adult tickets, they didn’t have a problem with that!
Don’t forget my code THATMUMTRAVEL5KLOOK to get an extra 5% off.
      I hope that helps!
