The 7 Best Hotels Near Tokyo Disney. Tokyo Disney Hotels For Every Budget!

Every time we go to Tokyo, we HAVE to visit Tokyo Disney: It’s our favourite Disneyland Resort in the world. But our budget has never quite stretched to a Tokyo Disney Vacation Package, so we always stay offsite instead.

Planning the ultimate family break at Tokyo Disney Resort (Tokyo Disneyland & Tokyo DisneySea)? The first choice you need to make is whether you will splurge on a vacation package or stay off-site instead. Honestly, we would rather have the extra day or two in the parks rather than pay £££ to stay in one of the official Tokyo Disney hotels. Especially when some of the offsite hotels near Tokyo Disney are so amazing!

1. Hilton Tokyo Bay

The Hilton Tokyo Bay is by far one of the most popular offsite Tokyo Disney hotels and for good reason: It’s beautiful, convenient and close! It’s especially popular with families, thanks to its themed family rooms, and we have this top of our list for places to stay in the summer, thanks to its beautiful pool resort area. I will say that although very luxurious, this is a hotel located right next to one of the world’s most popular theme parks, so expect to find families everywhere!

2. Sheraton Grande Tokyo Bay Hotel

We are so excited to say that we’re staying in the Sheraton Grande Tokyo Bay Hotel on our next trip to Tokyo Disney. I’ve researched and agonised over which hotel to pick, and this one came out on top! It’s considered one of the best hotels near Tokyo Disney if you’re travelling with a family like ours, we picked this hotel because it’s directly on the Tokyo Resort monorail and because it has an indoor pool and an epic play area for kids. We’ve actually carved out half a day just to enjoy the hotel facilities.

The Sheraton Grand hotel in Tokyo Bay

Distance to Tokyo Disney Resort: 1-9 Maihama, Urayasu. It’s approx. 17-22 minutes to the resort if you fancy a walk or 9-11 minutes via train/monorail, as the hotel sites right on the monorail line.
Facilities: Some of the facilities that attracted us to this large resort hotel were the arcade and play area, garden with mini golf, indoor pool, family rooms, and direct access via Bayside Station (plus a free shuttle if we need it).
Sample price: Prices from $182 per night, depending on dates and room type.
Why choose it: This hotel offers excellent value for families needing space and comfort near Tokyo Disney, and we chose it for its epic amenities.

3. Oriental Hotel Tokyo Bay

We stayed at the Oriental Hotel Tokyo Bay on our last trip to Tokyo Disney. We actually stayed here for 2 full weeks, because it was so easy for visiting Tokyo Disney resort AND because it made a great base for going into central Tokyo too. The Oriental Hotel Tokyo Bay rooms were a great size (with a double bed and two single bed so the boys didn’t have to share), but what we especially loved was the lobby, where ‘afternoon snacks’ and free drinks were served every afternoon while we relaxed. It was a great hotel with an amazing atmosphere. The breakfast was also one of the best hotel breakfasts I have ever had!

4. Grand Nikko Tokyo Bay Maihama

The Grand Nikko Tokyo Bay Maihama is a massive resort, and an official resort hotel, but one of the best things about this hotel is that it’s directly opposite the Tokyo Disney Resort, so you can walk straight to the park with no hassle. In fact, if you arrive at Maihama station because you’re staying outside of the resort area, you’ll see this hotel from the train!

Distance to Tokyo Disney Resort: Official hotel of Tokyo Disney Resort® at 1-7 Maihama, Urayasu — directly adjacent to the resort entrance

5. Hotel Okura Tokyo Bay

The Hotel Okura Tokyo Bay is a great choice if you’re on a tighter budget but you still want to be convenienitly close to Tokyo Disney and you’re looking for spacious, clean rooms. Despite its lower price, this hotel is actually a steal thanks to all its amenities, which include restaurants, 24 hour reception team, and free wifi.

Hotel Okura Tokyo Bay

6. Hotel MYSTAYS Maihama

If you’re looking to be close to the parks but you want to stick to a budget then the Hotel MYSTAYS Maihama is a great choice. Not only is it close to the Tokyo Disney resort, it also offers bright family rooms (that are a suprisingly generous size for the money) and if you don’t need all the extras (like on site supermarkets and kids play areas) then this is a brilliant choice. We rarely use the play areas in these hotels anyway: Disney is the biggest play area, and we want to spend all our time in the parks!

Hotel MYSTAYS Maihama

Distance to Tokyo Disney Resort: 3-5-1 Tekkodori, Urayasu —The hotel is only a 6-minute walk to Tokyo DisneySea and 12-minutes to Maihama Station.

7. Tokyo Bay Maihama Hotel First Resort

When we stayed in the Oriental Hotel Tokyo Bay last year, the Tokyo Bay Maihama Hotel First Resort was the other hotel we considered for our visit. We loved the look of the spacious rooms and the incredible views: the free shuttle bus and convenient location was also a massive tick, as was the affordable price!

Tokyo Bay Maihama Hotel First Resort lobby

Distance to Tokyo Disney Resort: Located at 1-6 Maihama – This is an official Disney partner hotel with a free shuttle bus to Bayside Station / Disney Resort Line.
Facilities: One of the things that makes this hotel unique is its family-themed guest rooms (e.g., Western pioneer, royal castle, 1950s America). The hotel also boasts a large capacity, and free shuttle bus service.

Why choose it: This fun hotel is great for family groups looking for themed fun and budget-friendly lodging near Tokyo Disney resort.

🔍 Why Choose a Hotel Near Tokyo Disney?

The best reason to choose a hotel near Tokyo Disney is because you’re planning to visit the Tokyo Disney Resort! We have stayed in a Tokyo Disney partner hotel and we have commuted to Disney from the centre of Tokyo and it is SO MUCH EASIER to be staying close by: Disney days are long days, and this means getting back to your hotel after the fireworks with aching feet is another thing you don’t have to worry about.

How Many Days Do You Need At Tokyo Disneyland And Tokyo DisneySea

However we have also stayed in a hotel near Tokyo Disney for our 3 day trip to the Tokyo Disney Resort and then STAYED THERE for another 10 days: it’s less than 20 minutes on the JR line to Tokyo Station, and we didn’t mind the short commute for the pay off. What is the pay off, I hear you asking?

Hotels near Tokyo Disney are considerably cheaper than those in the heart of the city. So our first concern was a financial one. But if you’re travelling as a family (especially with slightly older kids like mine) then space is also a concern, and we find the rooms in the Tokyo Disney partner hotels MUCH BIGGER than anything for similar money in Tokyo: This way we have lots of room to relax, no one has to share a bed, and we don’t feel too cramped together. Everyone has their own space.

Finally, we like to be near the magic. And after a long day of sightseeing, being in what feels like another world (the Disney bubble) where the staff are happy and there’s play areas/ activities for the boys just makes us happy!

✅ Booking Tips for Hotels Near Tokyo Disney

  • Book early: Rooms near Tokyo Disney resort fill up fast, especially during school holidays and peak seasons. And thanks to dynamic pricing, even if they don’t book up fast, they do get more expensive (we’ve witnessed this one first hand!) The early you book, the cheaper your stay will be.
  • Check transport links: Ensure the hotel has a shuttle to the parks or is near the Disney Resort Line station. I’ve hand picked all of the hotels on this list because they have shuttles or direct transport options that will make getting to Disney (and back again when you’re exhausted at the end of a long Disney day) easy.
  • Book Tickets in advance: PLEASE don’t go to all the effort of flying to Tokyo, booking a hotel near Tokyo Disney and then not being able to get into the park because you decided to buy tickets on the day. Tokyo Disney Resort does have sell out days, so the best thing you can do is buy your tickets as soon as possible (60 days in advance). Use this link to make the booking now.
  • Use my discount code: You can book all of these hotels on Klook, and if you input code THATMUMTRAVEL5KLOOK you’ll get 10% off (new users) or 5% off (existing users) which is a huge chunk on a pricey hotel stay. This code will help you to get the best price.
  • Room type & occupancy matter: Breakfast rarely comes as standard in hotels in Japan, and rooms in Tokyo are traditionally small. For families, pick rooms with 3+ beds or sofa beds (children as old as 12 can be expected to share if you don’t) and add breakfast if you want it.
  • Consider non-park days: If you’ll spend time in central Tokyo too, check how easy train links are from the hotel. We’ve done stays where we switched to a closer central hotel, but we’ve also stayed in our Tokyo Disney hotel for the full length of our stay, and with the right hotel, both options work really well.
