Thinking of visiting Lotte World in Seoul? Don’t visit before reading this first! The Ultimate Guide to visiting Lotte World Seoul with everything you need to know.
When we started planning our trip to Seoul, we knew that we had to visit the Lotte World Theme Park, South Korea. We’re a family full of adrenaline junkies and theme park enthusiasts, so this epic experience was definitely high on our list of things to see and do!
Lotte World Seoul is officially the world’s largest indoor theme park. Which is confusing, as it also has a huge outdoor section, which is called Lotte World Adventure. This is where you’ll find the Lotte World castle, which looks a lot like the Disney castle (if you squint a bit!)
When buying Lotte World tickets, you get access to both parks with the same ticket, and you can move between the indoor and outdoor sections of the park freely, and as often as you like!

When we visited Lotte World in April, they were hosting a special Pokémon Spring Adventure event. Because the boys are die-hard Pokémon fans, this was another huge reason why we went to Lotte World Seoul. Sadly this event ends in a couple of days, but they have regular seasonal events in the park that are worth looking out for. The current Lotte World event is a Pokemon summer experience.
This review suits everyone, but as we visited Lotte World with kids, there’s a natural family-friendly spin to my writing. I’ve also added a specific Lotte World family guide below with all the tips you need if you’re visiting with your own kids.

Buying Lotte World Tickets/Lotte World Ticket Price 2026
Wondering how to get your Lotte World theme park ticket? I recommend that you buy your Lotte World tickets in advance, so that you don’t have the hassle of standing in a long line to get those, or the worry of them being sold out (especially if you’re visiting during a special event or peak period).
We thought the Lotte World ticket price 2026 was really reasonable, especially when compared to the price of the Disney parks or theme parks in the UK. I’ve detailed exactly how we booked our tickets below:

Luckily buying Lotte World tickets is incredibly straightforward. We got our tickets from Klook and there are several options to choose from.
You can get a standard one-day entry ticket. These are priced at £21.79.

💶 Use code THATMUMTRAVEL5KLOOK to get an extra 5% off your ticket prices too! And if you’re a new Klook user they have a limited time offer where you get a whopping 10% off right now!
Consider Combination Tickets
For an extra couple of pounds (£3.26 each to be precise), you can get a standard one-day entry ticket AND entry to the Lotte World Aquarium. This is a special Klook offer. That’s what we did. Getting the extra activity for such a small sum of money was such great value: and we enjoyed the aquarium experience. These tickets are priced at £25.05 andyou can buy these here.
🎢The same THATMUMTRAVEL5KLOOK code will get you 5% off (10% for new users) these combo ticket prices too!
🐟You can read my full review of the Lotte World Aquarium here. I’ll be honest, it’s a mixed review (and worth a read) but overall it’s worth adding this to your trip.

If you’re visiting during the weekend or a particularly busy period, you can pay a little more for a Day Pass + Magic Pass 3 (fast track). This gives you a fast pass that you can use for three rides of your choice, meaning you can go on the biggest rides without lines during the peak season. This option is more expensive at £44.65 and you can buy this here.
You’ll note that I haven’t listed separate prices for adults and kids like I usually do: that’s because everyone pays the same price for tickets at Lotte World.

Lotte World Seoul Opening Hours
The Lotte World opening hours are long, meaning you get plenty of time to explore everything the park has to offer.
One of my top tips for Lotte World (and all theme parks to be honest) is to arrive as/just before the park opens.
We got into Lotte World as they were opened and walked straight onto the Wild River simulator ride immediately followed by the Pharaoh’s Fury ride with no queue. After lunch, the queue for Pharaoh’s Fury was 90 minutes long.

But to arrive as the park opens you’ll need to know the Lotte World opening hours! The standard opening hours for Lotte World are 10am – 10pm from Monday to Saturday. The opening hours are 10am – 9pm on Sunday. And the park often offers extended opening hours for weekends or special events.
To check the opening hours for the day you’re planning to visit, see more info on the Lotte World website here.
Klook.comGetting To Lotte World in Seoul
We found the metro system in Seoul so easy to navigate (I think once you’ve navigated the Metro in Tokyo, you can handle anything else with ease!) so getting to Lotte World was a breeze.

The most convenient way to reach Lotte World is by taking the Seoul Metropolitan Subway to Jamsil Station, which is served by Line 2 (Green Line) and Line 8 (Pink Line). From Exit 4, you can directly access Lotte World.
The Metro Station exit will put you straight into the middle of a shopping centre (Lotte World is also located in this shopping centre) but the theme park is really clearly signposted. We had no trouble finding it, and the walk took us around 7-8 minutes.
The Ultimate Lotte World Seoul Family Guide
Although the most well-publicised rides in Lotte World are the big thrill rides, if you’re visiting Lotte World with kids then you’ll find plenty of things to do: this is a real paradise for children!

The best attractions in the park for smaller children are:
- Fantasy Forest – an interactive play area with gentle slides and colourful jungle gyms/soft play type areas. This is a great place for little children to let off steam.
- Balloon Ride – a slow-moving aerial gondola ride that gives kids a birds-eye view of the park. (When we visited this was given a Pokemon overlay so that each baloon looked like a Poke-ball).
- Camelot Carousel – a beautiful, two-level merry-go-round that’s a hit with all ages.
- Lotty’s Kidstoria – a storybook-themed ride through magical scenes, great for toddlers but also a fun ride for all ages. My boys wouldn’t admit it, but they both enjoyed this ride!
Practical Information For Families
Because Lotte World is pitched as a family-friendly theme park Lotte World it is very family-conscious. There are loads of facilities inside to make life easier for parents. These include elevators and ramps that make it easy to navigate with strollers or wheelchairs. If you don’t have a buggy of your own but want one for the day then stroller rentals are available at the park entrance.

Nursing rooms and baby-changing stations are located throughout the park too and I saw them signposted everywhere, but my boys are too big to need these so I can’t give more info than that!
What I can say is that this is one of the easiest theme parks we’ve ever visited. Lotte World with kids is completely hassle free! The food in the park is excellent, and there are snack stalls everywhere, so we didn’t have to carry a backpack full of snacks. And because so much of the park is indoors, we didn’t have to bring sun lotion or sun hats either. Everything was just so straight forward!
Children under 36 months enter for free, but you’ll need to show proof of age. But that does make Lotte World a very cheap day out if you’re travelling with babies or toddlers.
The Best Rides And Attractions At Lotte World
Lotte World Seoul is home to over 40 rides and attractions spread across four themed zones: Adventure, Global Fair, Fairy Tale, and Science.

The rides in the outside section of the park are in the Adventure zone, and this is also where you’ll find the huge, Disney-inspired castle, which actually houses a large gift shop.
In one day we managed to ride over 20 of these, focusing on a blend of both the most popular and the most child-friendly options, so that there was something to appeal to both of our boys.
We managed to get on so many rides by arriving early (we did more rides in our first hour in the park than we did in the whole afternoon) and by visiting the park on a weekday when all of the local children were in school.
Some of our favourite rides at the park were:
Pharaoh’s Fury: An indoor roller coaster plunging into an ancient Egyptian tomb.
Atlantis Adventure: A high-speed roller coaster navigating the lost city of Atlantis.
Gyro Swing: A pendulum ride offering a tornado-like sensation.
Atlantis Adventure: The only known Aqua Trax roller coaster in the world, combining coaster thrills with water elements.

Lotte World FAQs
Do I need to book Lotte World Seoul tickets in advance?
Technically, you don’t need to book your Lotte World tickets in advance because they are sold at the gate. But these can sometimes sell out, leading to disappointed kids, and I don’t want that for anyone. That’s why the best and most affordable way to get tickets to Lotte World is to book them in advance. I recommend booking via Klook using this link.

What is the best time to visit Lotte World to avoid crowds?
We found that arriving early in the day (as the park was opening) was the best way to avoid crowds and you could walk straight on to many of the rides. As the day went on, the crowds got busier. And huge hoardes of school children arrived in the late afternoon/early evening, so even on weekdays and during term time, this is the busiest time in the park.
Is Lotte World Worth Visiting Compared To Everland?
Lotte World vs Everland: it’s the comparison everyone wants to make! But the fact is, to visit Everland you’re going to have to hop on a tour bus and leave Seoul, which just didn’t appeal to us when we had limited time in the city and were already planning a day trip to the DMZ. Wheras Lotte World is in the heart of the city making it super accessible. That’s the reason we chose to visit Lotte World instead of Everland and we definitely don’t regret it!
Is Lotte World in Seoul or Busan?
Both! There is actually a Lotte World in Seoul and a Lotte World in Busan. This review is about the Lotte World in Seoul, but Busan Lotte world is outdoors and has less rides. It’s also much less crowded, making it worth considering if you’re visiting Busan. You can buy tickets to Lotte World Busan here.
Can You Visit Lotte World In One Day?
Yes you can definitely visit Lotte World in one day! We spent a full day in the Lotte World Seoul theme park and we managed to see and do everything we wanted to. If you have loads of time in Seoul, or your travelling with very small children who need frequent breaks or explore at a slower pace, you could consider a second day in the park. But you definitely don’t need to!
