What is Klook?

If you haven’t already heard of it before, Klook is my go-to site for booking tours, tickets, transport, and experiences around the world, and especially in Japan. We’ve even used Klook to book last-minute hotel rooms!

We’ve used it countless times for everything from Universal Studios Japan tickets to airport transfers, and it’s consistently cheaper, easier, and more reliable than booking in person. Often cards from other countries don’t work on Japanese websites, so using Klook allows you to buy tickets you might not otherwise be able to buy before you travel.

Right, it’s time to get down to the nitty gritty; How to use a Klook promo code. Let’s go through this together. For this example, I’ve used a Universal Studios Japan Pass booking for a family of four, because this is one of the most popular activities you guys seem to use my code to book!

Step 1: Find your activity on Klook

Head to Klook.com or open the Klook app. I’ve used the website for this, as the screenshots look a little clearer.

 Tip: Always check Klook for bundle options — often you can combine multiple attractions for an even bigger saving.

Search for the experience or tickets you’d like to book in the search bar, for example, Universal Studios Japan, Tokyo Disneyland Tickets or Airport Transfer from Narita to Tokyo.

Several different options will appear (for example with Universal Studios you will see options for park passes and express passes. For airport transfers there are dozens of different options available). Look at the description and price to find the option that’s right for you.

Step 2: Add to cart

Once you’ve found the right activity you’ll need to select your date, ticket type, and number of travellers, then tap “Add to Cart” or “Book Now” button. Use add to cart if you’re buying more than one activity and want to keep shopping, or book now if you’re only buying one thing and you’re ready to check out.

You’ll then move to the checkout page where you can enter your payment details and promo code.

Step 3: Enter your Klook promo code

Scroll down until you see “Apply Promo Code” under the payment summary. Enter your discount code, and any other eligible discounts or promo codes will pop up here too.

Click “Apply” and you’ll see the discount instantly deducted from the total.

Step 4: Confirm and pay

Once you’re happy with your total, select your payment method and confirm.
You’ll receive an email confirmation and e-ticket immediately, ready to show at your destination. You can use this eticket straight from your phone, with no need to print it or do anything else. (I’ve attached a copy of our ticket below to give you an example of this)

Extra Tips to Save on Klook

If you love getting the best deal (like I do – honestly I say it all the time here, but I’m the biggest deal hunter and love travelling on a budget) here are a few insider tips that I use and that might help you too:

1. Stack your promo code with Klook credits. Klook has a credit scheme where you get credits each time you order. This means the more you use Klook, the more you’ll save. Log in to your account and redeem any earned credits for extra savings when you make a booking: the amounts are small, but free money is free money!
2. Book early. Prices can rise closer to peak travel seasons, especially in Japan and Korea. Many theme parks also have dynamic pricing, and prices are more expensive at weekends and holidays (so visit on a weekday to save money – and avoid those long queues too)
3. Use the Klook app. App users often get exclusive mobile-only codes, so I always check for those before I book anything
