PokePark Kanto, Tokyo’s Pokemon Theme Park is Opening Spring 2026. Here’s EVERYTHING You Need To Know!

This post has been updated on 12/11/2025 to include ALL the latest information about the PokePark Kanto launch

We finally have more information (and a launch date) about Pokepark Kanto: The outdoor Pokémon theme park that’s coming to Tokyo’s Yomiyuriland.

PokePark Kanto, Tokyo's Pokemon Theme Park is Opening Spring 2026. Here's EVERYTHING You Need To Know!

The new Pokémon theme park is due to open on 5th February 2026 (excitedly, we’ve planned our next Japan trip for Spring 2026) with advance ticket sales expected to begin on 21st November 2025.

Here’s everything you need to know about this exciting new Pokemon experience:

What Is PokePark Kanto?

Tis isn’t a theme park in the conventional sense. Instead PokePark Kanto is a Pokemon-packed Trainer Area where Trainers can make unforgettable discoveries as the travel through the forest and town of the Kanto region.

Taake a walk through different terrains including hilly paths, tall grass, tunnels, and rocky trails where you can spot over 600 Pokemon! This sounds like the perfect immersive Pokemon experience for Pokemon fans.

What Kind of Pokemon Will Be At The PokePark Kanto?

Don’t worry, you’ll probably spot your favourite Pokémon in the park! There are over 600 Pokemon included and according to the PokePark website there won’t just be Pokémon from the Kanto region. Pokémon from other regions will be included too.

When Will PokePark Kanto Open?

We now know that the PokePark Kanto will officially open on 5th February 2026. This is a little earlier than expected, because when the launch was announced, we were given a date of Spring 2026.

How To Book Tickets For PokePark Kanto

The good news is that the park will be opening when we’re in Japan! (I’m actually so excited that I did a little happy dance!) The bad news? Tickets will be sold via a lottery system, so there’s no guarentee that you can actually get one. But I do understand that this is the fairest way to give everyone a chance, and to beat the scalpers.

The lottery will open at 6.00pm (JST) on Friday 21st November. You can enter the lottery via the official PokePark Kanto website (I’ve put the official link here again so you can’t miss it!) The lottery application will close on 8th December.

This first wave of ticket applications will be for people who want to visit between 5th February and 31st March 2026.

Will There Be Shopping At PokePark Kanto?

You know we love a bit of Pokémon shopping (I’ve written about our favourite spots here) so we were excited to read about the Sedge Town section of the PokePark Kanto. Here you’ll find a Trainers’ Market full of goods as well as a Pokémon Centre, Poke Mart, Gym, Pokémon parade (woo!) and there will be two other attractions too.

From the art provided these look to be a carousel of Pokémon and a flying Pikachu ride. The opportunity to fly in a Pikachu has my boys out of their minds!

When Will More Information Be Released?

We have now had a second update with an opening date and lottery ticket information for the first wave of entries. We still don’t yet know how tickets will be issued after this date, or any information about ticketing for children.

I will keep this post updates as soon as more information about the park is shared. Mostly because if I don’t keep up to date and miss that ticket sales release date, my boys will never forgive me!

How To Find The PokePark Kanto?

The PokePark Kanto theme park will be a new unique park built inside Yomiyuriland (an existing theme park) which is just outside of Tokyo. To help you make your plans in terms of transport and accomodation, I’ve put the full address for Yomiyuriland below:

4015-1 Yanokuchi, Inagi, Tokyo 206-8566, Japan

Is There An Official PokePark Kanto Website?

Yes! Although it doesn’t share any more info than i’ve shared here right now, you can check out the newly launched PokePark Kanto website here.

My boys are so excited about this new Pokémon theme park that when I showed them all the information they did a little dance! I’m crossing everything that this is open in time for us to visit during our next trip to Japan next year!
